In an era defined by ecological crisis, political upheaval, and social fragmentation, how can art respond — and what is its purpose? Join acclaimed writer and activist George Monbiot and visionary artist Steve Nayar for an urgent and inspiring conversation exploring the role of creativity in confronting catastrophe.
Together, they will ask:
Can art help us reimagine our future?
Can it galvanise action, foster connection, and offer hope when all seems lost?
This event invites us to reflect on the transformative power of art at a moment when the world needs it most.
Totnes based six piece band The Bridge promise to deliver a mix of soulful original tunes in a range of musical styles. Their set features songs that incorporate soul, funk, reggae and blues elements, with tracks featuring a scorching horn section, piano and rich percussion textures. They have been regulars on the Totnes live scene for several years and played well received sets at both The Barrel House Ballroom or The Great Lawn Sessions in Dartington.
